About Sidel and Their Challenge
Sidel is a leading provider of equipment, services and complete solutions for packaging liquids, foods, home, and personal care products. With more than 40,000 Sidel machines in operation daily in more than 190 countries, Sidel needed a better approach to its CPQ process.
Sidel's existing CPQ configuration engine, while effective in certain areas, had opportunities for enhancement in maintainability and runtime performance. It currently supported a portion of the product range, with the remainder managed through Excel or other solutions. By unifying product configuration storage, Sidel could significantly improve the accuracy and completeness of quotes offered to customers, creating a more seamless and efficient process.
Sidel sought to replace its entire CPQ stack, including configuration, pricing, and bill of materials (BOM) solving, in a phased approach.
