Configit Announces Its Newest Customer, Arçelik
Arçelik Represents First Customer in Western Asia
Configit A/S, the global leader in Configuration Lifecycle Management (CLM), today announced its newest customer Arçelik, the second largest white goods company of Europe (according to market share ranking based on quantity) with 12 major brands including Beko, Grundig, more than 30,000 employees, and products sold in over 145 countries.
With the aspiration to be brand leaders in all markets, Arçelik approached Configit with the goal of establishing a digital solution for their local product managers. When defining product variants to introduce into their markets, regional product managers were spending too much time defining and managing products and determining price levels.
“We realized we needed to minimize local product managers’ R&D and central product manager dependencies,” said Yekta Caymaz, Information Technologies Director, Arçelik. “Implementing processes to create product and price information before local product managers started their configuration processes would not only save time but eliminate configuration errors.”
Arçelik integrated Configit’s Enterprise Product Configuration solution with their existing PLM and ERP systems to configure and price products for different regional markets always based on the latest product definition coming directly from the engineering department. Configit’s Configuration Lifecycle Management Solution supports Arçelik in breaking down silos between R&D and engineering, product management and product costing, helping establish cross-functional digital processes that result in a faster time-to-market, improved customer experience and accurate proposals.
