Configit Acceptable Use Policy
1. Introduction
This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) outlines acceptable and unacceptable use of the SaaS services provided by Configit ("we," "us," "our") hereafter the "Services". By using our Services, you ("User," "you," "your") agree to comply with this AUP.
2. Scope
The policy applies to all users accessing and utilizing the Services. In the term “users” includes, but is not limited to, employees, contractors, customers, partners, and any other individuals or entities that has been granted access to the Configit SaaS platform. The policy covers all aspects of the Services, including:
- SaaS products and solutions provided under SaaS agreements, including Trial License for SaaS.
- Data or information processes, stored, or transmitted using the SaaS services.
- Any devices used to access the SaaS services.
- Data or information process, stored, or transmitted using the Helpdesk for the SaaS services.
- Any devices used to access the Helpdesk for the SaaS services.
3. Prohibited Activities
Users shall not use the Services for:
Illegal Activities
- Engage in any activity that is illegal under local, state, national, or international laws or regulations.
- Distribute or promote illegal content or activities, including but not limited to, child exploitation, human trafficking, or distribution of controlled substances.
Security Violations
- Attempt to interfere with, compromise the system confidentially, integrity or security, or decipher any transmissions to or from the servers running the Services.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services, other accounts, computer systems, or networks connected to the Services through hacking, password mining, or any other means.
Spam and Malware
- Send unsolicited emails (spam) or engage in any form of unsolicited communication.
- Distribute malware, viruses, Trojan horses, spyware, worms, or other malicious or harmful code.
Intellectual Property Infringement
- Use the Services to infringe on the intellectual property rights of others, including copyrights, trademarks, patents, or trade secrets.
Harmful or Offensive Content
- Distribute content that is defamatory, obscene, abusive, invasive of privacy, or otherwise objectionable.
- Engage in harassment, bullying, or threatening behavior.
Resource Abuse
- Using the Services in any manner that imposes an unreasonable, disproportionate, or significantly excessive load on our infrastructure beyond its designed capacity. Example usage includes, but is not limited to uploading, downloading, or transferring unusually large amounts of data that exceeds normal business usage, and making continuous or automated API calls that exceed your usage limits or significantly impair the stability or availability of the platform.
Misrepresentation and Fraud
- Impersonate any person or entity or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity.
- Engage in fraudulent activities, including phishing schemes.
Unauthorized Access and Scraping
- Users are strictly prohibited from accessing or searching the service(s) by any means other than the publicly supported interfaces provided by us.
Reverse Engineering
- Users are strictly prohibited from decompiling, disassembling, or reverse engineering any part of our Services. This includes attempting to discover the source code, underlying algorithms, or any proprietary information related to the Services.
Misuse Capabilities
- Use any features or tools provided by the Services to generate or disseminate misleading, harmful, or otherwise inappropriate content.
4. User Responsibilities
Users are responsible for:
Account Security
- Users are responsible for maintaining the security and confidentiality of their account credentials and promptly notify Configit of any unauthorized use. Any activities that occur under your account are your responsibility.
Data Security
- Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their data beyond the protections in the Services.
Penetration Testing
- Users must request and obtain written permission from Configit by contacting support@configit.com before performing any penetration testing on the Services.
Compliance
- Users must comply with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations while using the Services.
- Ensure their use of the Services complies with this AUP.
Content Ownership
- Users retain ownership of any content they upload or create but must ensure that their content does not violate this AUP.
Ethical AI Use
- Users must use AI features or tools provided by the Services ethically, ensuring that AI-generated content is accurate, appropriate, and does not violate any laws or regulations.
Responsible AI Prompting
- Users must avoid false or harmful information, stay clear of abusive or discriminatory content, not using AI to deceive or exploit, adhering to legal standards, and respecting AI feature or tool restrictions and safeguards by the Services.
5. Monitoring and Enforcement
Monitoring
- Configit reserves the right, but do not assume the obligation, to monitor content and usage of the Services to ensure compliance with this AUP.
Enforcement
- Violations of this AUP may result in actions including warning, suspension, throttling, limiting or termination of your access to the Services, and/or legal action. We may also involve and cooperate with law enforcement authorities in prosecuting users who violate this AUP.
Reporting Violations
- If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, you must immediately notify us at support@configit.com. We will investigate all reported incidents and take appropriate action as necessary.
Changes to this AUP
We reserve the right to modify this AUP at any time. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on our website. Your continued use of the Services after the posting of any changes constitutes your acceptance of those changes.
