Configit Announces the Latest Product Updates to Streamline Complex Product Configuration Processes
COPENHAGEN, Denmark – Jan. 8, 2025 – Configit, the global leader in Configuration Lifecycle Management (CLM), today announced new and improved capabilities in Configit Ace® and Configit Quote®, that enable fast establishment of reliable product configuration processes for B2C and B2B manufacturers.
Configit Ace® is a powerful configuration engine that manages the entire lifecycle of product configurations, from design to service, through a CLM approach enabled by Configit’s multi-patented Virtual Tabulation® technology. This establishes a “shared-source-of-truth” for enterprise-wide configuration data.
Powered by Configit Ace®, Configit Quote® provides the most extensible Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ) solution on the market, focused on the needs of customizable product manufacturers. Configit Quote offers extensibility enabling a CPQ solution that can be adapted to fit business needs.
This product release includes the new generative AI-powered Configit Ace Prompt capability to enable fast establishment of product configuration models using generative AI. Ace Prompt enables any user to quickly create or enrich product configuration models based on unstructured data from various sources, such as Excel files, images or text prompts.
Validation capabilities in Configit Ace® have also been enhanced with the ability to analyze product configuration models, configuration rules and configurable bills of materials (BOMs) to understand how changes made affect what is offered to the customer. This enables identification of gaps, errors and other misalignments before releasing product configurations.
In addition, this latest update includes:
- PTC Windchill Extractor for Fast Integration – Quickly extract technical engineering options, rules and BOM data from PTC Windchill using our new connector, PTC Windchill Extractor
- Ace Configurator for High Performance – Boost performance and eliminate errors in existing CPQ systems by leveraging a high-performance punch-out based on Ace Configurator
- Configit Quote® Usability Improvements – A range of improvements to performance and usage of Configit Quote® enabling a high-performance, zero-error quotation solution that can be adapted to fit manufacturers’ unique process needs.
