Siemens Electronics Assembly Systems uses Configit to enhance their Oracle Agile PLM system

Siemens Electronics Assembly Systems (SEAS), a business unit of Siemens AG, has implemented Configit as an enhancement to their Oracle Agile PLM Solution.

SEAS uses Agile PLM in the engineering of new products. Normally, products are assembled and configured using SAP but in the early phases of development metadata is only available in PM. The integrated solution from Configit allows configuration capabilities to be explored and evaluated early in the design phase. Furthermore, the Configit integration includes a frontend web-application that makes it very easy for non-specialists to construct valid product configurations. For configuration purposes, the usability is much better than what is normally offered by PLM solutions.

The Configit solution at SEAS has been delivered by ICP Solution GmbH, a Configit-certified partner.
